Sensitive financial information is encrypted at rest and only the last four digits of a Social Security number are ever displayed. Access is limited to staff who need it and every access is logged.
We share information with lenders and credit bureaus when you apply for financing, with vendors that help us run the site, deliver cars and process payments, and when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
If you text City Auto at (901) 844-3774, we use your phone number and your messages only to answer you: Miles, our virtual assistant (an AI), replies first, and a City Auto specialist when you ask for a person. The conversation is kept with your account or your support request. We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it or your consent to receive texts with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts or HELP for help.
If you sign in or open an account with your mobile number, we text you a one-time code to confirm the number is yours. The code is sent through the verification service of our messaging provider, Telnyx; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of each code or sign-in link, and delete it within 30 days. We keep your number with your account so that it can sign you in. If the number is already on a purchase or a sale in our records, we connect it to that account and e-mail the account's owner, who can remove it. Texting SIGN IN to (901) 844-3774 gets you a one-time sign-in link. You can add or remove a sign-in number in Account → Settings, or ask us to. We do not use your sign-in number for marketing, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties for their marketing. Message and data rates may apply.
To keep automated abuse out of sign-in, sign-up, contact, financing, selling and chat, cityauto.ai uses Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google to tell people from automated programs. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
You can update your account, unsubscribe from marketing, and request access to or deletion of your information at privacy@cityauto.ai. California residents: see Do not sell or share my personal information.
